What Is the American Moving and Storage Association?
The AMSA is a non-profit corporation located in Alexandria, Virginia. Its goal is to “represent the interest of the domestic and international moving and storage industry and to help the customers it serves.” It provides general advoccacy for the moving industry.
While moving companies need not join the AMSA, over 4,000 moving and storage companies have. The AMSA offers them a number of services, from tax help to education.
The AMSA also provides a dispute resolution program, aimed at settling disagreements between movers and their customers.
