Terms of use

Last updated: February 2026

Acceptance

These terms are an agreement between you and MovingGuru.com. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.

What MovingGuru does

MovingGuru is a moving information and connection service. It is not a moving carrier, household goods broker or freight forwarder. We publish moving research, cost guidance, checklists and local moving information, and let you request quotes from moving companies. We do not move household goods, we do not employ or supervise movers, and we do not guarantee that any moving company will contact you, quote a particular price, or perform a move to your satisfaction.

Eligibility and accurate information

You must be at least 18 years old to submit a quote request. You agree the details you provide are accurate and that you own or are authorised to use the phone number and email address you enter. Submitting someone else's contact details without their permission is not permitted.

Quote requests and contact consent

Submitting a quote request with the consent box checked authorises MovingGuru and participating moving service providers to contact you at the details you provided, including by autodialled and prerecorded calls and text messages where permitted by law. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw it at any time through our Do Not Contact page. How we handle the information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Estimates are not quotes

Cost ranges, calculators, checklists and articles on this site are general information, not binding quotes, and not legal, tax or insurance advice. Your real price comes from a mover's written estimate based on an inventory of your goods and the specifics of your move. Always confirm a mover's licensing, insurance and written estimate before you book.

Acceptable use

• Do not submit false, automated or bulk requests.
• Do not scrape, mirror or republish site content for commercial purposes.
• Do not interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or bypass access controls.
• Do not use the site for anything unlawful or infringing.

Intellectual property

Site content, including articles, tools, page design, the MovingGuru name and logo, belongs to MovingGuru or its licensors. You may read and share content for personal, non commercial use with attribution and a link.

Third party links and services

We link to other websites, including retailers, industry associations and federal agencies such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Some links to books on Amazon are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not control third party sites and are not responsible for them.

Disclaimers

The site is provided on an as is and as available basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the information is complete, current or error free, or that the site will be uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MovingGuru is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of a move performed by a moving company you found through this site. Disputes about a move belong between you and the mover.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify MovingGuru against claims arising from your misuse of the site or from contact details you submitted without authorisation.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms or any part of the site at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend access for anyone who breaches them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which MovingGuru operates, without regard to conflict of law rules.
