Opt out of sale or sharing

When you submit a quote request, we transfer it to moving service providers for valuable consideration. Under several state privacy laws that is a sale or sharing of personal information. Choose the opt out request in the form and we will stop transferring your details to moving companies. Note that a quote request cannot be fulfilled after an opt out, because delivering it to a mover is the transfer itself.

Other requests you can make

• Know what categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold.
• Receive a portable copy of that information.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete information we hold, subject to legal record keeping requirements.
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where a state law provides that right.

How we verify a request

We match the email address and, where given, the phone number in your request against the details in our records. If we cannot match them, we may ask for one more piece of information. We do not use anything you send for verification for any other purpose.

Authorised agents

An agent may submit a request on your behalf. Select the agent option in the form and include written permission signed by you. We may still contact you directly to confirm.

Timing

We confirm receipt within ten business days and act within the period your state law allows, normally 45 days, with one extension where a request is complex. Opt out requests are applied as soon as we process them.
