There are plenty of things to do and see in South Bend, IN. You can partake in water sports on the East Race Waterway, attend the zoo, gardens and conservatories, or go to the University of Notre Dame for a football game. Unfortunately, while you are out and about enjoying South Bend’s recreational opportunities, you will most likely see many vacant or demolished buildings along the way. These are a hard reminder of the city’s declining economy.
